The Summer School in Manuscript Studies 2026 will be held June 15-25 in Reykjavik, Iceland. The application deadline is January 15th.

The summer school offers training in palaeography, codicology and transcription of Scandinavian manuscripts as well as editorial technique and textual criticism. The Summer School is a collaboration between the Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies, the University of Iceland, the University of Copenhagen and the National and University Library of Iceland.

The Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies, in cooperation with the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Iceland, organizes every year an International Summer Course in Modern Icelandic and Icelandic Culture. The course is to be held in Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland. Classes take place at the University Campus at Suðurgata.

The application deadline is 15 February.
